Recruiting Calls Now Permissible!

This is an exciting time for many 2015 HS grads (and their loved ones) because July 1 is the date when they can begin receiving recruiting phone calls from NCAA Division I coaches in most sports.

This is also the date when those same HS grads and their families can receive face-to-face contact from coaches at their home or at other locations away from the campus of the Division I schools.

The July 1 date for Division I recruiting phone calls and off-campus contact applies in all Division I sports other than men’s and women’s basketball, football, and men’s and women’s ice hockey. Those dates vary.

During these recruiting calls and home visits by Division I coaches, prospects may be invited to make an official visit to the campus. To prepare for the official visit, prospects and parents may be interested in our Informed Athlete’s Comprehensive Guide to Campus Visits which includes tips for questions to ask and things to look for during the visit, along with the NCAA rules regarding campus visits.
