NCAA Division II has made the following changes to their recruiting rules, and those changes are now in effect for ALL D2 sports.

• D2 coaches can communicate via phone, text, email or regular mail at any time with no restrictions, even with a freshman or sophomore prospect.
  
• June 15 preceding a prospect’s junior year of high school is still the earliest that D2 coaches can provide an official visit or have in-person off-campus contact with a prospect.
  
• The D2 recruiting calendars, which were already much simpler than D1, are now almost completely “open.”
  
  The only recruiting “Dead Periods” for D2 coaches which prohibit any face-to-face contact with recruits are during the 48 hours prior to the start of a National Letter of Intent Signing Period.
